What to Expect
A hot day and more grappling with conditions? On the eve of the game, the ground staff ran the roller on two of the nine pitches at the venue - one a black soil surface and another a mixed one. This was perhaps done in preparation for the next fixture at the venue (against CSK), that comes with just a day's break on Monday (April 14).
As the evening progressed, the ground staff seemed to focus a little more in terms of preparation on the black soil pitch, situated beside the centre wicket (mixed soil). But for what it's worth, both the strips were covered in an identical manner by the end of the evening.
Head to head: LSG 1 - 4 GT. Lucknow's only win over this opposition came at this venue last year when they successfully defended 163/5.
